What this coverage is, in plain English

We’d rather you understand exactly what you’re buying than be surprised later. Here’s the straight version.

It’s a service contract, not insurance

An RV Extended Warranty is a vehicle service contract — not insurance. It covers the cost of covered mechanical repairs when a covered part fails. Insurance covers accidents and damage; a service contract covers mechanical breakdowns. They’re different products, and we don’t blur the line.

Coverage has to be in place before a breakdown

This is the most important thing to understand: a service contract protects against future failures. It can’t cover a problem that already happened. So the time to put coverage in place is while everything’s running right — not after something has already gone wrong. That’s why we encourage owners to protect their rig early, before the first repair hits.

What it covers

Coverage is built around the failures that end trips and drain savings — the big-ticket items, not the small stuff you’d shrug off:

The exact list of covered components, limits, and any deductible are spelled out in your contract. We’ll walk you through it before you buy — no surprises.

What it doesn’t cover

Like every service contract, there are things it isn’t meant to cover — routine maintenance and wear items, pre-existing conditions, and damage from accidents or neglect. Your contract lists the specifics. If you’re ever unsure whether something is covered, call the Dedicated RV Support Line and ask before you assume.
